Felipe Corvalán

A specialist in financing and capital markets, Felipe has nearly 20 years of experience spanning both private practice and leading energy and asset management companies. His practice is centered on investment structuring, investment funds, and financing, with a focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors.

Felipe has participated in a series of highly complex transactions, including the financing of the Quilapilún Solar Park (USD 160 million); the USD 320 million debt restructuring and divestiture of SunEdison’s Latin American regional assets—the transaction from which Atlas Renewable Energy was formed—and the acquisition and financing of the Ruta 160 highway concession by Globalvía.

From 2018 to 2023, Felipe served as General Counsel of Moneda Asset Management, where he led the structuring of investment funds across Chile, the United States, Ireland, and Luxembourg, and advised the firm in creditor negotiations arising from the debt restructuring of Latin American companies. He additionally played a role in the merger and integration of Moneda with Patria Investments. He currently serves as a director of Luxembourg-domiciled funds.

Prior to joining LAWGIC, Felipe practiced in the Financing and Projects teams at Morales & Besa; served as regional counsel for Latin America at SunEdison Inc.; and worked at Linklaters (London) and Carey y Cía.
